User Guide This program is fairly simple to use, everything it contains stays in a one page design with only a small amount of input boxes and other fields. Also the basic design splits all the different categories that the user needs to input to display the final quotation of the frame. The interface only has the choice of two buttons so the user can't really make to much harm to the program or error with the final quotation. First here is a screenshot of the overall program with labelled input, output and interface sections of the program:
So that's the overall layout of the program and give you a basic idea how little is needed to be done and where everything is that you need, continue for a more in-depth user guide and example data for testing. Here are the basic steps to completing a quotation: 1. First the employee must input there name for it to be displayed onto the quotation so the customer can refer back to this employee if he has trouble with his quotation/order. Here is a screenshot of some example data being inputted into the text box:
2. For part two of this user guide this is the next section of input boxes for the employee to add the data into so the customer's details will be seen on the final quotation receipt. All the user needs to do is input the customers name and phone number into the corresponding box. Here is a screenshot taken of some example data being inputted:
3. This is the "Dimension" section of the program, it is essential that the correct data is inputted here so the quotation is accurate. Again the user will just have to simple take the required dimensions of the frame from the customer and input them into the correct fields be cautious not to mix up the height and the width. I have added a screenshot of some more example data being inputted into these fields:
4. The next section of SCC Pictures program is the Frame Material box; this has multiply choices for the user. This is on the right hand side of the program in the frame with the heading "Frame Material". The user will have to tick the correct square to correspond with the customers requirements for his frame; the program will do the rest of the work just leaving the user to tick the correct box. I've added this screenshot to display some example data:
5. Next is the drop down menu just under "Frame Material", this menu is used to select the glass that the customer has asked for to be quoted for his frame. In order to select one of the settings all the user needs to do is click the little arrow that is pointing downwards (Show in Diagram) and place his mouse over the correct selection and click. This will then automatically tell the program which choice you have made. Yet again I have another screenshot as an example on how to use this part of the program:
6. Now you have completed all of the required input fields all you need to do is simply click the "Calculate Quote" button, you quotation will be displayed at the bottom of the program into the text box show in the diagram below. Then to close the program, just click the "Exit" button. Here are some screenshots of the buttons and output box. That is nearly everything you need to know at the program, the program is fairly simple and isn't too complicated to use. Also the programs features are basic compared to other programs so there isn't much you need to know of this program. |
