SEGAAAA! Oh how I used to sing along with the intro to Sonic The Hedgehog. As a child I didn't own a Sega Mega drive and was stuck with the Master System but a few times a year I was lucky enough to visit my uncles who both had Mega Drives. As soon as my brother and myself would enter my uncles house we would patiently wait for the "Yes, you can setup the mega drive" line and we would pounce! We would spend hours taking it in turns playing Sonic the Hedgehog seeing how far we could make it into the game. I would have only been 5 or so, so gaming was fairly challenging at that age but yet incredibly enjoyable.

 

Even to this day I really enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog, not just for nostalgic reasons but the music, gameplay and graphics always have a great feel to them and have really aged quite well in comparison to some other titles from the age period. Sonic the Hedgehog was the first title I played on the Mega Drive and one of my most enjoyable gaming titles over the years.
