Cutting hte pinball hole for my Mame Cabinet
Not too much to say in this article as it's fairly outdated now (by a month) and it would be as fun as watching the paint dry itself! I'll just go over some of the key changes and issues I had while finally giving my arcade cabinet some well deserved paint. First off before I gave it some colour I drilled 2 holes either side of the cabinet to act as my "pinball holes" and then when about sanding certain areas down such as these holes so you wouldn't get a splinter while trying to push the buttons. One of the big issues I had was that the shelve to hold the x-arcade stick was a little too low so the sides were casuing the stick to float slightly and slide around in the unit, after a good hour of sanding I finally finished and it was ready to get painted... again. I touched up some of the areas with the base coat again and some of the areas I missed before such as the bottom part of the marquee box, after that my unit finally got some colour! I was a bit worried after the first coat as it dried extremely streaky but after the second coat it looked fantastic, a little bare but still it looks great. Check out the picture after the break.

Finally its looking good with its second coat!

The more vigilant of you may have noticed that the draw-bridge shelve has gone missing after coat 1, well this is because it fell off... Not to worry it's all fixed now.
