Website Update #1
Written by Maxi
Friday, 13 February 2009 14:35

My new website has been around for a few months now but I've not really posted up any updates that I have done, so here is a quick list as I try to remember what I've done:

  • As you can now tell the website is super fast! Problem with windows based hosting and SQL - TSOHost support = awesome!
  • Finally fixed my weblinks so they are search friendly and make more sense
  • Added "Links" to the menu allowing you to check out some cool websites
  • Much more content has been added related to my work and current projects
  • Removed some of the old website stuff and re-categorised others
  • Some more typos have been fixed!
  • Add meta tags to some articles based on what people were searching for on my website
  • Some behind the scenes cleaning was done
  • Updated some missing image links and prepping for extra articles
Be sure to check out this tasty Counter Strike 1.6 montage here.

Maxi's Domain Version 2

Welcome to Maxi's Domain Version 2. What? You've only just noticed?! It's been up for 2-3 weeks. I'll post up some proper details about the new site in the not so distant future but at the moment I'll give you a brief introduction until I get the time to write a full article. First of the template is pretty default but I've been changing some things around and playing with some CSS code (I'm learning!) but for the most part graphics are fairly standard along with the colour scheme. I've got loads of new articles up about my updated setup, what I've been doing at work and some projects of my own such as my Retro PC. I'll be trying to get even more written up as soon as possible but with so much going on finding the time to write all this information is going to take some time so please bare with me. I've also added some information to my Gaming History under "About Me" so please check that out. There is going to be plenty of spelling mistakes or mis-read words at the moment as I haven't had time to proof-read everything, I'm sorry about that. I've also got an updated picture of the hall redesign and I promise some of my older work projects are coming, its just finding the time and the material to write it up.

Oh yea, one last point. You might have noticed some of the pictures are blurred, this is because I don't want to give out too much information about where I work and I try to keep everything as confidential as possible as requested by the school.

1995 - 1999

1995, the year of the Sega Saturn. This was an awesome 5 years as it begun with mine + my brother's beloved Sega Saturn (there should be a nice story about this as its one of my favourite consoles) which got me into gaming far more seriously. Then we have some huge PC games which first brought me into the online gaming community and I was hooked instantly. Finally in 1999 the Dreamcast came about and I couldn't wait. Get reading all the great random stories about my experience with these consoles and my general love affair with games.

1990 - 1994

Right, here's when things begin to get a little hazy as I can't remember much due to my age but the things I do remember are absolutely awesome. Within this span of 5 years I was introduced into gaming via the Sega Master System and my uncles Mega Drives along with my first 486 Computer which I spent many of hours playing Ski Free. Some of these chapters might be a little short both in content and on details compared to some of the other years as I wasn't into gaming much in my younger years and my brother always used to hog the consoles. Any ways keep reading some of my memories over my younger gaming years.

2000 - 2004

The big year 2000 put behind it all of the classic days of 32bit with a new era for high-end graphics on consoles for all the family to enjoy. So a new millennium and some new consoles to go along with it, Not bad. My main interest again over these few years had to be the Xbox, it was new, exciting and made by Microsoft. With me being fairly young back in 2002 I had to save every penny I could over the months before launch in-order to even afford the whopping £300 price-tag. Enjoy some of my memorial gaming stories over 2000 till 2005:
