I'm going to be looking at ATI's latest feature for Eyefinity "Bezel Compensation", I'm also going to demonstrate what bezel compensation is and why it is beneficial. What is Bezel Compensation and Why Do I Need it?Bezel management is a special feature that nearly all triple+ screen users need or want, it essentially stretches your screen resolution so your bezels on your monitor don't interfere with the picture you should be seeing. Here is an example of what *GAME NAME* would like with your monitor bezels distorting the image (remember to click the image to make the huge!): Then again with bezel compensation in effect:
You will only notice this in a real world picture as screenshots come out crystal clear with or without bezel management. As you can tell bezel management is a huge part of multiple monitor gaming setups as it fixes the distorted field of view to give a "real-life" representation of would you should be seeing. What ATI's driver actually does is adds extra pixels to your screen resolution to compensate for your bezel width, as games don't know if you have multiple monitors or not (97% of games) the ATI drivers do all the work so the game won't be effected.
