I've been enjoying F1 2010 over the past few months and I think its a great start to a franchise but I do have some gripes about the general direction of the game. I think most of this is because of the dumbed down nature of the game compared to 80% of racing games on the PC, multiplayer is clunky and textures/slightly are a little "Next-Gen grit". Good new for PC lovers then as the game is fairly open up to modding and the community has already been busying update textures and fixing lighting issues.

As the tools available progress and modding becomes more accessible and easier we should expect to see a lot more from the community. For now here are my top modifications for F1 2010:

My favorite mod by far tweaks the lighting to make  the game look much more appealing in my opinion. I don't think F1 should look dark and dingy, this mod is here to fix that. Check out the screenshots of it running in an overcast Sao Paulo. It does have some issues with lighting in the menus which can be seen here:

Realistic Tires V3

A simple mod that adds a much better view and understanding of the quality of your tires, a great little mod that has a huge effect on gameplay.
