Wow even more press events! You have got to love this time of year in the gaming industry as every game developer is trying to big up their games for the holiday season. One of the biggest events running up to Christmas has to be the Tokyo Gameshow (TGS) as its the home of gaming as we know it, although this trend is beginning to change. So with such a large event what are we expecting to see? Here's a quick checklist of what you might see from Microsoft and Sony:

Microsoft

• New SKUs for the Japan market
• New Xbox Experience release date
• Bungie giving a few details about their add-on pack
• Bungie maybe announcing a new title
• Showing off sales figures over the past 2 months
• GTA IV content might see some preview time
• Lots of Japanese RPG style games and community features
• General pimpin of their holiday lineup
• Showing it has everything Sony can offer + more (trying too)
• Lots of booth babes along with freebies

Sony

• New SKU for Japan
• Release date for Home and its success
• Lots of trailers for the holiday lineup
• Big show about Little Big Planet
• Maybe some new info on Final Fantasy
• Generally keeping the Japan market happy
• Not much new but a good safe showing

Overall it’s going to be a great show with a lot of information about upcoming releases and hopefully a few surprises and secrets revealed. It starts tomorrow at 4am so expect the news to be flooding in over the next few days. Hopefully I can actually go there next year... :P
