A quick little tutorial I followed to create a cartoon style piggy in 3DStudio Max. While looking for some basic modelling tutorials for 3DStudio Max I came across this little fellah which is basically an introduction to 3DStudio Max so I thought I'd give it a go. The tutorial was pretty basic with it only consisting of around 15 steps, I'm sorry to say I have lost the website so I can't link you to it. This was done as a warmer to get me used to 3DSMax after not using it in many moons but yet I found it surprisingly easy thanks to the easy tutorial and the general basic form of the model. It only took around 15 minutes to complete, here's a picture of the model: Wireframe pig without mesh smoothing. I didn't really have any issues making this model as it’s only needed basic modelling tools such as bevelling and extruding different polygons. The only problem that did occur was the ears didn't want to bend as smoothly as I wanted so with a slight alteration from the tutorial I managed to get the ears I wanted for my little piggy (Pigs > Ponies). Short but sweet and with the final product complete: ![]() "Oink Oink" |
