A brand new thin client room for PE

Here is a breif overlook of what I've been doing at work when installing different ICT suites. Many of these are going to be similar so sorry for the repetitiveness of the articles.

The P.E. ICT room which is next door to the recently mention Languages ICT suite and consisted of a complete new Install of 30 Thin Clients and 1 teaching PC with whiteboard, projector and printer. Thin Clients take a little longer to setup compared to standard PCs as we have to add the mounting bracket to the client and monitor along with the usually sorting out keyboard/mice/cables. As for imaging we have a pre-built usb stick with the needed files for linux, we then simple load the system files and copy over the suitable network configuration file and they are done. It takes longer than ghosting as we are typing in numerous commands to load the files for each Thin Client and we can only do so many machines at one time due to the limited amount of USB sticks we have. For security reasons we have to screw the monitor bases into the desks so the computer cannot be easily taken which mean drilling holes both in the desk and the monitor bases which was a pain due to the monitor bases already having screws in the holes we needed! There weren't any major problems but it still took us 2-3 days to get all the machines installed along with cleaning out the room of its millions of empty boxes.
